History of
Satterfield Paving
In the 1970s Freddie Satterfield left his comfortable corporate position to seek the American Dream of owning his own business. In 1974, he started an asphalt and concrete paving company in Durham, NC. Freddie understood that the most effective way to achieve his customer’s goals was to share their vision of success throughout each stage of the paving process.
Over the next few decades, Freddie continued to build on his original idea, and he eventually partnered with his son Trent Satterfield to help guide the company through its next stage of growth. In 2018, as Freddie prepared to retire, the Satterfields sold the company. The new leadership team is focused on building a successful foundation that the Satterfield’s established in order to grow the company and deliver outstanding services to our customers for decades to come.
Through hard work, dedication, and experience, Satterfield Paving continues to build on its reputation as a knowledgeable, reliable, and trustworthy leader in the asphalt and concrete paving industry.

Satterfield Paving is a leading paving company based in Durham, North Carolina, with over 45 years of experience serving residential and commercial clients throughout the Carolinas and Virginia.
We offer a comprehensive range of services including asphalt paving, concrete work, sealing, crackfill, and striping, in additional to thermoplastic and road and parking lot signage solutions.
